We’re moving, so a friend dropped off some boxes. One was a lost relic of the dotcom bust - the iPad before we knew we needed one. An “internet appliance” in a slick box, with a touchscreen and a 56K modem, it was underpowered but apparently quite hackable. 3com quickly discontinued it, and those who bought them from 3com directly got full refunds.

I don’t even know where to begin with that trainwreck of a promo. From the bad stock images to the buzzwords to the weird laugh at the end.
